Chris Peterson owned one of the first service stations in the Village, and this location is at the present site of the Theodore Historical Museum (CPR Station). Later they relocated their garage to what is now the present site of D & S Restaurant along highway 16. The present renovated restaurant facility is located in the original Peterson's garage building. The Peterson family sold the garage to new owners around the late 1960s or early 1970s and it continued to operate as a service station for about 20 more years.
