B O N   A C C O R D

The name is derived from the French phrase "Bon Accord", the ancient motto of Aberdeen, Scotland, the ancestral home of a first settler.
The Post office opened on September 1, 1901.
The first postmaster was Thomas Mulligan, who held the position until 1908.
